Installing a Dial Up Networking Connection |

NOTE: This step-by-step walkthrough will instruct you on how to properly set up a Dial Up Connection to your ISP. Please be sure you have your Windows 95/98 CD-ROM or diskettes available before you go through this process. Please take note that the screen shots provided here are from a Windows 98 machine. However, the functionality is the same as Windows 95. Install Dial-up Networking
Click on the Communications component. (Do not check or uncheck the box) Click the Details... button.
Put a check in the box next to Dial-Up Networking. (NOTE:
If Dial Up Networking is already Click the OK button. Click the OK button again. Windows 95 will prompt you for your installation diskettes or CD. Wait for Dial-Up Networking to install. This may take a few minutes. When you are told to restart, click the OK button. If the computer does not automatically restart, click the Start button and choose Shut Down. Select Restart the computer? Click the Yes button. Wait for Windows 95 to restart.
